But Holmes, in the book, is rather proud of his fighting skills and there are references to battles with criminals which left him with a tooth knocked out. <br /><br />SH has been done is so many ways that it&#39;s kind of late complaining now. The more or less contemporary Nigel Bruce BBC series was the definitive SH as far as the book was concerned, so if you&#39;re going to start another Holmes story you&#39;ve got to move away from the book, in this case a long ways. <br /><br />I might point out in it&#39;s defense, Billy Wilder&#39;s &quot;The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes&quot; which may not have been as outrageous as this, but was still out of left field.Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16289856510554336990noreply@blogger.com
