It is a rare thing to have a stage play work on film. Theater is theater and the cinema is the cinema, they rarely mix. Theater is an act of live performance that loses much of its power when shown through the lens. The electric charge of a performance is dwindled when its focus is controlled by a director and the audience loses the ability to engage with what is happening on stage.
It is like having a sculpture and a painting of the sculpture. The painting may be well done but the three-dimensional nature of the original work of art is drastically reduced. I see nothing in this trailer that would lead me to believe this will work. I'd be happy to be wrong, but my gut (and my eyes) are telling me I'm probably right.
