Luc Besson's (The Fifth Element, Léon: The Professional) apocalyptic breakout hit may have been something when it was released, but now its just a bore. There are some glumpses of good filmmaking but they are sullied by a muddled plot and...well...bad filmmaking. A young Jean Reno stands out in this self aware mishap of a film.

I don't understand. Where are the explanations? Why is it bad filmmaking? Could you give some examples and not just your opinion?
