well, I'll say this--they seem to have picked elements of one of the only Hulk plotlines I've been able or interested enough to follow (partly--I don't know how it turns out, 'cuz I skipped the country while it was in ishes). They seem to have merged it with the visual style and some of the paranoid tension of the Ultimates rewrite of the Marvel universe, so that's cool (from a visual and storytelling standpoint. politically, it's TERRIBLE). Should have a chance at being better than the other one, which I liked but which was lopsided, clumsy storytelling. In fairness, Hulk is like that (not only physically, but in plot structure, too. . . . has always been).
When you have a main character whose great line is "Hulk SMASH" or "puny humans make Hulk ANGRY" . . . 'tis hard to get Hannibal Lecter out of him. :-)
Cheers,
PGE
